Write with Community, Inc. is pleased to participate in the Artists Index Salon Series for a special evening of connection and conversation.

Representing WWC, Midori Evans and Corey Nuffer will share their vision for supporting and expanding the South Coast’s literary community. The evening offers writers — emerging and established — an opportunity to connect, learn about upcoming workshops and initiatives, and engage with fellow creatives across Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Write with Community, Inc. invites artists and creatives to a practical, idea-building grant workshop facilitated by Midori Evans and Corey Nuffer.

Interested in applying for a grant but not quite sure how to present your idea?  This two-hour workshop will help participants learn how to shape their project descriptions, what components to focus on, and how to read their own drafts like a grant reader.

Come with a specific project idea or choose from sample ones provided in the workshop.

In celebration of Women’s History Month, Write with Community, Inc. brings poetry into motion at the New Bedford Whaling Museum. Midori Evans and other Westport Writers Group members join poets Diana Cole and Vivian Eyre. 

This three-gallery “progressing poetry” experience invites visitors to journey through space and story, encountering six local women poets whose work explores history, whales, family, the sea, and the natural world.

Focusing on relationship, generational history, and use, this gathering examines how land carries memory and meaning and influences our sense of belonging and responsibility.

The final gathering reflects on place, identity, and home, with a focus on environmental stewardship and our collective responsibility to the landscapes we inhabit.

Join Write with Community at AHA Night!

Stop by and join us on Thursday, February 12, for Vestibules: Stories of Water, Memory & Resilience at the New Bedford Whaling Museum.

We’ll be hosting a drop-in writing activity in the Braitmayer Family Galleries (Main Level) — feel free to stop by on your way into or out of the gallery between 5:00–7:00 PM. No experience needed, just curiosity and a love for words.

Creative Catalysts celebrates the interplay and creative exploration that happens when artists of different mediums work together.
