Staying in the Conversation

Creative Conversation Building

Sometimes it is hard to stay true to the things we have told ourselves we really want to do. It reminds me of sitting through a tough conversation, like a fight with a boyfriend or a discussion with an elderly parent of decisions that need to be made. We might want to walk away from those conversations because they are emotional and bring up stuff that we really don’t want to look at. But we stay, because we care. We stay, because it is important to reach clarity and work together. This is the same kind of care we need to show to our own creative work. Can you stay in your own conversation? Continue to face whatever issues your work is bringing up? Find clarity by sitting with the issues and not running away?
