Who are You Listening to?

Creative Thought Coaching

In the last blog post, we talked about staying in a difficult conversation and how that is similar to sticking with our creative practice. Today, we highlight who you are listening to when you make decisions about how to spend your time. We’ve all either heard the stories or experienced someone saying,“you’re doing that?!” That mixture of scorn or surprise or pure incomprehension can make us shrivel back into our shells. We talk ourselves out of that beautiful, creative, inspirational idea and we crawl back to normalcy. Risking is difficult and we need to make sure that we are listening to ourselves, and to the creative voice within us.
