Wait, Does That Sound Right?

Oh, perfectionism and its wormy, crawly, insidious little messages. We might be working happily on something and then pause, asking ourselves, “Is that right?” “Is that good enough?” “What am I doing?” It’s one thing to realize that you’re going down the wrong path but quite another to give power over to the voice that doubts forward progress just because. If you’re anything like me, you’ve started and stopped hundreds of things with that “Wait, does that sound right?” question and some of them are still languishing! Perfectionism comes in all forms and more often than not any forward movement will create a backlash of sorts — after all, our bodies are wired for homeostasis! Know this. Truly accept that this is part of the ups and downs of change.
