What are your Mantras?

Mantras can soothe us and help calm us when we hit little bumps in the road. I personally sometimes revert back to a little song I made up back in my early twenties when I was reading some self-help book. It seems to pop back into my mind when I am really trying to move beyond old habits and patterns. It’s a soothing little ditty, telling me that everything is going to be alright, a little song to remind me that I am both whole in myself and in unity with the world. All it takes is the first few seconds of singing the song to myself and I remember, whispering to myself: it really is ok.

Do you have a mantra you use? Is it a global mantra or one that works for individual situations? You can make up mantras for all sorts of tasks and endeavors you are engaged in. I encourage you now to write some down. Grab a small notebook, start taking notes about the snags you hit and then a message you give to yourself to recover. You’ll refer to it often!
